November Policing Report

Pershore Rural North and South – Safer Neighbourhood Team

The Community Messaging Service is no longer in existence, but we are hoping that it will be replaced early on in the new year. You can take a look at https://www.police.uk/ which is a website where you can enter a postcode and search for incidents on your area (however I think this is about 2 months behind on the stats).

On the 2/11 a window was broken and paint can was found in the garden of a property in Mandalay Drive.

There was an incident reported on the 15/11 where a group of children were knocking on a person’s door and running away.  This was attended and the mother and two of the children concerned arrived whilst I was there.  The incident was discussed, and all of the children have now been spoken to and have apologised to the occupant.

On the 16/11 a catalytic convertor was stolen from a car on the car park of St Peters Garden Centre during the day.  Our rural and business crime officer was notified, and he immediately attended and gave out security advice to visitors to the centre.

We are receiving regular reports of spam calls to residents in South Worcestershire.  The calls vary from HMRC, to a virus on the computer, problem with an Amazon account or that a member of the family has been arrested and bail money needs to be transferred.  Unfortunately, each incident is slightly different but we are trying to make as many people aware.
