Widening and siphon works on the A38 south of the Ketch
In order to carry out these works the following Traffic Management arrangements will be in place:
Commencing this week until early April – M-F inclusive from 9pm-5:30am the A38 will be closed southbound between the Ketch and a point just north of Taylor’s Lane and northbound traffic will be controlled when necessary by a manually operate traffic signal to enable construction traffic to operate safely.
For three consecutive weekends, starting on 5 March, the A38 south of the Ketch Roundabout will be fully closed in both directions from 9pm each Friday until 5:30am each Monday*. During the closures Taylor’s Lane will be closed to westbound traffic.
The formal diversion route for the closures will be via Whittington/Drakes Broughton/Pershore/Defford/Kempsey.
*From 9pm on Friday 19 to 9pm on Saturday 20 March, Temeside Way will be closed westbound for works on the splitter island to the west of the Ketch Roundabout. The usual diversion route will be signposted. Eastbound traffic on Temeside Way will be able to continue on to Broomhall Way via a minor detour around Timberdine Roundabout. This closure will be carefully co-ordinated with the A38 closures outlined above.
